Project Description

GET INVOLVED IN MADISON

LOCAL CONTEXT

In the Fall of 2015 the Madison Food Policy Council along with leaders from the Madison Central Labor Council launched the Good Food Purchasing Policy campaign. We began by taking a closer look at the Madison food shed and developing an analysis of institutional purchasing in the Madison area.  The initial conversations led to an official adoption of GFPP as one of the priority areas for the Good Food Policy Council in 2016.

HIGHLIGHTS

During the course of the last few months we are continuing to explore which public agency would be best suited for the Good Food Purchasing Policy.
